Accommodations 

OPIS has reserved a block of rooms for attendees of the 2nd Annual OPIS Canadian Carbon & Biofuels Forum at a special rate of $479.00 CAD per night single/double occupancy at The DOUGLAS, Autograph Collection. Rooms are available at this rate for a 3-night period covering May 19 – 21, 2026. The hotel cutoff date is Wednesday April 1, 2026. Please note that the room block is anticipated to sell out quickly, so early booking is encouraged.

Rooms within the 2nd Annual OPIS Canadian Carbon & Biofuels Forum room block are reserved for registered Forum participants only. Details on how to book rooms within this block will be provided in the confirmation email received by all participants after completing their registration.

All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card and are subject to the hotel’s standard terms and conditions, including cancellation and changes to room type/dates once reserved. Additional taxes and surcharges may apply.

Visa Letter of Invitation & Additional Details

Letter of Invitation – Only registered attendees whose registration fees have been paid in full will be eligible to receive a letter of invitation. Once your registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to request your letter. All requests must be submitted by Friday, April 17 2026 to allow sufficient time for processing.

Please note that, in accordance with our company’s privacy policies regarding the transmission of personal data, we are no longer able to collect passport details for inclusion in letters of invitation. It is highly likely that your embassy will also require a second letter from your employer or institution containing passport information, to be submitted alongside our letter of invitation. Due to US and international sanctions, we are restricted from providing letter of invitation or visa assistance to the following companies and residents from: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia and The Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of the Ukraine.

Event Terms and Conditions 

All participants are expected to adhere to the OPIS T&C’s and Code of Conduct for events which was agreed upon during registration, a copy of which can be found HERE.  Additionally, our Privacy Policy is available to view by clicking this LINK.

Refunds and Substitutions – No refunds will be provided to participants who do not attend an event once registered. Substitutions are allowed at any time up to 48 hours prior to the start of an event, provided that OPIS is notified of and approves same in writing. If a participant does not attend an event and does not send a substitute, then they and their organization/company are still individually and jointly responsible for all fees due and payable for participation. In the unlikely event that OPIS is forced to cancel or postpone an event, then participants will receive a full, internal credit of all fees paid to be used at a future event within the next twelve (12) months.

Event Materials – All parties agree that the event materials and information conveyed during the event are confidential, copyrighted, and proprietary to OPIS or a third party. None of the parties will use the event materials or information conveyed during the event except pursuant to a nonexclusive, nontransferable right and license hereby granted by OPIS only delegates internal business purposes, and not for sale, sublicense, or other disclosure, distribution, or republication to or for a third party. No copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices of OPIS or any third party contained in the event materials may be altered or removed and OPIS specifically disclaims any/all liability associated with same.

Information with Other Participants – Unless participants specifically opt out during registration, OPIS may share delegate contact information with event sponsors and/or partners who may contact delegate with details of programs or events occurring during the event that may be of interest or to schedule meetings or discuss areas of mutual areas.

Antitrust Compliance Notice

Antitrust Compliance Notice  – OPIS, a Dow Jones company, is committed to compliance with all applicable antitrust and competition laws. As participants in this conference, we remind you of the constraints of antitrust and competition laws. Under no circumstances should this event be used as a means for competing companies to reach any understanding, expressed or implied, that restricts competition. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Agreements or discussions regarding pricing, costs, or commercial terms
  • Exchanges of non-public, competitively sensitive company information
  • Agreements to allocate markets, customers, or territories
  • Agreements to restrict supply or output
  • Coordinated refusals to deal with any company

Each participant is expected to make independent business decisions and to immediately disassociate from any discussion that could even give the appearance of an antitrust violation or other improper purpose.
