Webinar Recording – “Marine Fuels in Transition: Market Dynamics, Future Fuels, and Shipping Policy”

Aired on November 18, 2025

The global shipping industry has entered a new era of transformation. Rising market pressures, emerging fuel technologies, and ambitious climate targets are driving change across the marine fuels landscape.

In this webinar, we’ll explore how the bunker fuel market has developed and where it stands today, highlighting the challenges and opportunities for existing fuels. We’ll take a forward look at emerging alternatives such as methanol and ammonia, examining their advantages, limitations, and the assumptions behind future demand forecasts.

The discussion will also cover how shipping fleets are preparing for transition, with dual-fuel vessels already on the water, signaling a shift in long-term investment strategies. Finally, we’ll assess the role of policy in shaping the future, from the EU ETS and FuelEU Maritime to the IMO’s Net-Zero framework, and what these regulations mean for shipowners, fuel suppliers, and global trade.

Join us for a forward-looking view of the marine fuel market as it transitions toward a more sustainable, competitive, and resilient future.
