Fuel retailer and convenience-store operator Cumberland Farms has agreed to acquire Pennsylvania-based Coen Markets, which owns 54 convenience stores in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia, according to a news release on Thursday.
The purchase includes 54 stores and three new stores under development and “reflects Cumberland Farms’ ongoing strategy to accelerate its growth,” it said in the release.
The financial terms of the transaction weren’t disclosed.
The transaction is expected to close this year following a standard regulatory review.
Cumberland Farms is a brand of EG America, the U.S. arm of U.K.-based EG Group.
